Believing public awareness regarding bed bugs to be a key component in the battle against them, the Bed Bug Action Committee has a bed bug speaking team available to make brief bed bug-related presentations to community groups, organizations and workplaces. The speaking team is comprised of Dr. Gary Nielsen, an entomologist with JP Pest Services, Phil Alexakos, Chief of Environmental Health and Emergency Preparedness at the Manchester Health Department and Will Stewart, Community Services Specialist at NeighborWorks Greater Manchester.

General topics covered in each bed bug presentation include the scope of the international bed bug problem — including how it has affected Manchester and the rest of New Hampshire — as well as the nature of bed bugs, how they spread and measures property owners and tenants can take to prevent and treat for bed bugs. Bed bug presentations can also be suited to address each group or organization’s particular questions and needs.
